"The Great Debaters" is a drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship.
Stars: Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Kimberly Elise.

Arguably two of the most famous debating clubs in the world are the Oxford Debating Union and the Cambridge Union Society.
Perhaps not coincidentally, several members of the comedy troupe 'Monty Python' attended these two British Universities.
Terry Jones and Michael Palin met at Oxford University, where they performed together with the Oxford Revue. Graham Chapman and John Cleese met at Cambridge University. Eric Idle was also at Cambridge, but started a year after Chapman and Cleese. Cleese met Terry Gilliam in New York City while on tour with the Cambridge University Footlights revue, Cambridge Circus.
Monty Python's sketch comedy is legendary. The 'Argument Clinic' goes down as one of their most memorable skits.
